Welcome to Signature of Jiu-Jitsu, Your Family Martial Arts Academy in Belmont, CA


Founded in 2022 by Professor Atahide “Taidi” Santana, Signature of Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a martial arts school — it’s a community where students of all ages and skill levels can grow stronger, safer, and more confident. Our academy combines the art, discipline, and tradition of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a family-friendly, supportive environment that encourages personal growth both on and off the mats.


Located at 915 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA 94002, we serve families, adults, and children throughout Belmont, San Mateo County, and the greater Bay Area.

Owner/Head PROFESSOR
Professor Atahide “Taidi” Santana

Professor Atahide “Taidi” Santana is a registered black belt under the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) with over 13 years of continuous training.


Taidi began his journey in Brazil under Professor Marcelo “Cyborg” Siqueira, earning his brown belt and winning several regional titles. After moving to the United States, he received his black belt from Master Charles Gracie, carrying forward the teachings, principles, and discipline of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.


He is certified in the Winner’s Methodology for Children’s Jiu-Jitsu and has developed his own adult teaching methodology over three years, continuously updating both programs to integrate the latest techniques and teaching strategies.


Coach Taidi’s philosophy: Every student, regardless of age or experience, deserves personal attention, structured guidance, and encouragement to reach their full potential.
